Why not have Carboncoat/Carbontwine buyable for soldiery?

So you're asking for Carboncoat/Twine to be added for Soldiery on the basis that Hunt killed the Duty Finder for your server (nevermind the fact that the Duty Finder works via the Data Center) based on your own anecdotal experience which we should take your word for ?

Yeah, that's so not happening.

Now that i110 is more or less obsolete they should make it available for purchasing...but its not gonna happen since they want people to grind it out using hunt/ST

Is it really that hard to get oils and sands? I have over a dozen just sitting on my retainer because I have nothing I want to use them on yet. It's not really a big deal when they are so easy to get. Sometimes a minimal amount of effort to get something is a good thing. Everything on a silver platter just because it's old serves less of a point than putting a minor bit of effort in front of the reward. Develops a stronger mid game.

1800 sol would be too easy but I like the idea.

1000 sol for a log. Still need 6 logs for Twine. Hunts would still be the best method but this would greatly broaden the ability to get Twines for people that hate hunts or can't do hunts.

Hunts are not "a minimal amount of effort", unless you take into account enduring the endless whimpers in the /shout channel each time a hunting mob spawns. At least you can farm soldiery in the new dungeons, which are way harder than doing hunts.

Oils and sands come from several other far more obtainable methods than hunts. So I think you are confused about what I'm talking about or simply aren't aware of the other options.

Just wait till WoD gives out the rest of the upgrade items. Hunts aren't worth doing unless you really want to be hunting for a while to grind the seals and deal with the drama of hunts.

They should have added twines to WoD first, then with, earliest, 2.51 added Twines to hunts. Reasons pretty obvious. Keeps WoD relevant if its a drop. Also when Coats added to hunts there is less of a mad 3/4ths the server rushing after them as they aint the only source of coats/twines.

I think you have forgotten that oils and sands followed the same path as the FCOB upgrade items, which is the main issue. People who farmed hunts for oils and sands (which was a pain in the butt) now have to farms the same hunts again for the new upgrade items (which is twice the pain).

Please follow my quotes backwards to their origin. My response had nothing to do with twine/coats and the nature of the upgrade path. It was strictly about oil and sand availability for i110 gear.
