Node is being racist, should I report it?

Sadly, the enormous cooldowns on potions, coupled with their brief duration, means that this is not really so. Anyone who wishes to take advantage of 5-hit nodes likely wants to do it over and over again during a single gathering session. Potion cooldowns mean they can only take advantage of the 5-hit node once every five minutes (or 4 min, 30 seconds for HQ). A gatherer rotating between nodes will come back to that 5-hit node WAY more often than that, so the actual benefits are pretty minimal.

Think you meant HQ gloves, but you've got a point; I didn't expect Forager gear to be fully capped with 3 materia, that's interesting!

Strength attribute should have no effect on gathering.

I never knew that those 1-2 extra racial points would have a significant difference O.o

I'm a hellsguard and my weak stats is DEX...
i'm sure i've seen some Botanist nodes that require DEX, but I think i can get the extra gathering hit in all nodes.

When i was leveling it, I used to just equip the DoW/M accessories I had if I didnt meet the requirements. I mean, 2 STR, couldn't you just throw on a STR ring in place of your other ring before beginning to gather at that spot? No melds required and it takes a whole couple seconds to equip. I don't think losing a couple CP/Gather/Perception will matter much on those level 50 nodes... you should be capping anyway, or at least close enough.

I understand where people are coming from, I just don't agree it needs to be adjusted. There are solutions, and not all of them requires larges amounts of money or wasted meld slots.

I actually love this mechanic. At one point, I recall thinking that I should be getting bonuses on Nodes where I wasn't. I now know that it's because I am a Seawolf, I need to meld +INT onto my character to make up the difference. I'll verify the nodes and meld some extra INT onto my glvoes or something later tonight or sometime this weekend.

No he's quite possibly right, or at least on the right track. Several of the i60 crafted left side are very easily maxed even from nq status.
