Having everyone stack behind the boss while the healers spam AOE cure is not "learning to play their classes better". That's a joke.

devs themselves acknowledged that they had overseen that way of doing even though they wouldn't correct it. Be sure that if there ever is a BCoB savage mode, enrage will juste wipe you out with some 30k+ damage and all that will be left will be tears.
Also, easier ? Back when the strat was created, it wasn't really easier, just different. In fact, with 2 healers in i70, it was close to impossible if the dps weren't good enough to actually pull out awesome numbers. That's why people started to go 1 tank 3 healers in the first place.
Please learn the facts true before saying it's "easier". The rot was never hard to handle to begin with. What was hard was to handle it if RNGesus granted you a laser on top of it, back when it was nearly a one shot on anything but the tanks. Or handling the haste + fire star for those who had chosen to get rid of the Rot.
also, @ people thinking like OP :
Just do the rot. You don't have to care about laser anyway as it's just easily healed. Do a full rot rotation, then all stack and eat all the lasers. How difficult is that ? It's like 40 seconds of paying attention, then shutting the brain off to just burn the boss down.
Facts: Some players may never have beaten this fight without the engrage. Fact: some player (like myslef) never know there was another way to do the fight. Fact; Still to this day I had very few groups Want to do Rot. Fact: The only time I've had 1 player sugguet rot,he was being a troll and a Elitist jerk (we kicked him). Opionion :without enrage, I dont think many players would have cleared T2 using DF. Fact: most DF group will not do rot.
True, because noone bothered to do anything else after the start began to spread.
Your own fault. Which fight is designed to wait for the enrage and ignore mechanics ? You might have at least thought that maybe there was some real mechanics in the fight at a point.
Path of least resistance. "Olol too hard" when it's not. But they don't want to learn and prefer wasting time.
That... was initially the point. You had to become better at the game at each point of the Coil in order to overcome the difficulties and go further. DF would be a breeze if people had taken the time to learn properly. T1 taught communication within the party, T2 taught to avoid AoEs, tank swaps, party communication. T3 was a joke, T4 taught how to properly dps and not just be a slacker. And T5 was a mix of all that (fun fact, you're supposed to swap tanks after every death sentence if not utterly overgeared).
With only people who had learned how to do the things correctly, DF would just be really smooth.
However, enrage helped Coil to gain popularity. Good ? Bad ? Can't say, but it's true that many people got to enjoy the Coil thanks to that. But that's an other topic
see above. Least resistance
Have a Good Weekend Kuwagami.
Haha lol i remembered how slow i used to be in dodging aoes before t2. Like i used to think ads linear aoe was lightning fast.
I also use to see ppl in pf parties say " i've never done rot before" and was decked out in allagan gear lol
But when else would you get to brush up on synchronizing your Manderville dances?
