Ninja: Can we get rid of the bunny please?

IDC what anyone says, casting a bunny is not shamefull, it's only irritating.

On that same note, casting any jutsu is better than not casting one or getting the bunny. You almost always have a way out. If you have crap internet, then you need to cast much slower to give the server time to read your inputs. That, or get a VPN or play another class.

@skyl1n3 it depends on the word "slowly" people are so obsessed with getting their mudras out in like 2 seconds and risk screwing up then blaming it on lag then having to wait 20 sec to input the correct one rather than doing it at 3 seconds with very little chance of screwing up. I'm just throwing numbers here btw if you want exact numbers go time yourself or something.

Pretty much what I'm doing now. Hopefully when I move soon it won't be an issue for me anymore. That said, no one's going to move just to play a game, and a good portion of people probably won't play a game if they have to pay extra just to not lag at it. It's not a huge issue for me simply because WTFast makes it tolerable. . .except around 8PM, when it goes to crap even through the VPN. That said, I'm not doing any endgame or anything, so it's not like there's huge pressure, but it's still frustrating to know that I could be doing better if the machines would let me.

What did annoy me was your comment to just get better internet. To the best of my knowledge, I've never lived anywhere that's had more than one provider, and I've moved around a lot the last few years. Frankly, a lot of the US is dealing with what's essentially a localized monopoly, so even if the local option offers good speeds it's probably not cheap. Don't tell people to just get better internet when that may just not be a feasible option at all.

I hope you're joking. The "punishment" for hitting the wrong attack on a Monk isn't nearly as severe unless you happened to screw it up right as your GL was about to come down or while PB was up (Played Monk exclusively in raids from launch to Turn 9 so I'm very familiar with them). Additionally, it's a lot harder to mess up the standard GCD attacks than Mudras with the 0.5 second CD on SE's not-so great servers. And before anyone says "oh well you should just do them slowly", it is required to perform them very quickly to achieve optimal DPS as a Ninja so if you do them very slowly to ensure they work (and they might not even then at times thanks to the lag others have talked about) you're losing a ton of damage.

So to address the original point, they do need to do something about Mudras. Make them client-side until you send the final combination of attacks over to the server, I dunno. But the current system is flawed for people outside of Japan. Even with VPNs such as Pingzapper and WTFast they still don't work the way they're actually supposed to all the time.

How would I know? Lol where I live and lived you have multiple providers fighting over you from like uverse to fios to Comcast to timewarner. Well ah well pordon my ignorance.

@alphadragon I said screw up(like lagging right when you do demolish and your stack is at 3 sec)not do 1 wrong attack. And there's a difference between doing a mudra super duper fast and risk screwing up rather than doing them at the right speed and no I don't mean doing them super slow, there's an appropriate speed to do them efficiently with low risk of screwing up due to lag or human error.

I've enjoyed it so far, but I have decent net, above avg at least, and still in some areas, the delay on the skills makes it not fun. If it did not have that 0.5 on it. Might be a tad bit easier, but because of that. I think the class is pretty bleh for me in play style. *shrugs* No matter how well it can or can't do. If a system is in place that can punish you for things outside your control. It is a failure in my books.

I rather see a nin doing it slowly so he dont mess up than see a nin with a bunny and then blame lag. Because everybody knows that when someone mess up is lag fault.

Also, the whole shame thing is pretty bad. If this community was half as good as 11 was when I played, a system like this people would just say oops and shrug it off. With how the community acts at times..things that show "shame" just is bad game design.
