These were crafted items in 1.x, and as far as I know crafted items will never be store-able, maybe because of HQ variants?

The Augmented AF has too many variations (dyes) to be store-able. The whole point to the armoire is that storing the items takes little server storage. Anything with varying colors or stats (Novus, etc) will never be store-able.

Couldn't they just make it remove the dye like how it resets spiritbond and durability?

I suppose they could, but I'm sure we'd end up with a 50/50 split on people that are happy the items are store-able/people complaining their dyes were removed.

They're not going to let you store too many things in the armoire since it affects their bottom line with how many people are forced to buy extra retainers for irl dollars.

The problem is that they're adding so much vanity stuff every patch that even with 4 retainers, we're running out of space to store everything. :/ The armoire would be an existing solution to our storage problems. I don't thinking adding more optional retainers is a solution either. There'll come a time when players refuse to tack on any more cost to their monthly subs and will still be out of storage options.

It would be a great help to get Armoire updated. :)

except the Armoire already stores dyable items in it. many of them infact. this is not the reason they have not put these items in there. if they have a reason it is something else entirely.

it already does this on many of the storable items including the Cloud Strife outfit. the valentionne outfit. the new swimsuits
so them being dyable is not the reason.

somehow I doubt this as nobody complains about the currently storable dyable items. the Armiore removes all customization from anything that is stored in it. you want to keep your dyes on your dyable stuff dont store it.

the Armiore resets it to it's original/standard color. so it would really be a matter of if you use a rare dye do not put it in the Armiore.
