Your derpiest noob moments

I started FF as my first MMO and as a WHM. I tried to be a cool mage and attack all the things, even before the tank since I didnt know what tank and aggro meant.

Using tank LB on the boss and wondering why I am not seeing the awesome damage it does and why is everyone angry xD Took me quite a few dungeons to figure it out.

Charging at anything as a tank with shield oath off, good times xD And healing in cleric stance for like 5 minutes before realizing.

Tanking a boss in t8 with odin weapon rather than what I glamoured it on. Wondering why is everyone dying so much.

Chilling next to tanks today for no reason as a healer in ramuh HM, eating that one blast that kills you in one hit xD

Running in t7 with shriek on behind renauds without waiting for voice to go off, even though I know better. Watching in shame as everyone dies D:

Forgetting you cant dodge while doing a LB and dying a true dragoon death without the LB even hitting but using up itself anyway.

I have more, the derp is strong with this one.

I ate some food before entering a dungeon, but totally forgot to activate Shield Oath. After I was in the dungeon a part of my brain told me that the food icon is SO so we're good to go. Pulled the first two groups then flashfest, but right before all mobs are dead the WHM got hits.

On to the next group and by this time a JP member typed in PT chat, but my brain refused to understand what it was atm.

He typed again and then it hits me... brain loading... understood what it was and proceed to /Grovel after saying "すみません" LOL the WHM immediately /Disgusted
I felt pretty bad during the whole run. Hey we're only human right? I shall not tank the dungeon half-asleep again :(

I did this recently, meaning to turn of Cleric stance....
Brain: kk, thingies are dead, turn off Cleric for next pull
Fingers: Derp *Hits Benediction, instead*
Brain: Wat.

Hmm last noob moment I can remember was trying to help this party to down T5. During the aetheric profusion after killing the big snake, I was partially distracted so I just ran to the nearest neurolink. Then the chat suddenly went like this :

Tank : OMGGGGGG
Tank : WTFFFFFFF
Me : ?
Tank : GET OFFFFFFF
Me : *realized I was stepping on the MT's neurolink* oh fish *runs to the other side sprinting* */aetherprofused*
(Then I got magically 90k-ed few minutes after that)

I came back on and got kicked, sent a tell to the party to apologize over the sudden DC and they were cool with it. I'm not sure if I should feel bad for derped out that moment or sigh in relieve because the rest of the party got twistered together after profusion to make it not entirely my fault. >_>

Taking on Aurum Vale as PLD for the relic quest item for my BRD.
Had serious control issues on the trash pulls, thought it was due to me not having Circle of Scorn.
Realized after first boss I had forgot to turn on Shield Oath again after level sync deactivated it.

all i gotta ask is:

why does convert to materia button have to be right below the repair button on the right-click dropdown menu. then like a noob i click hrough the confirmation windows because im so accustom to seeing confirm windows for things that dont need confirm windows.

After trash group bombing I use a instant Flare at full mana on bosses ever so often. Every time this happens I'd like to scream.

It took me until I was like level 35 or so, and my girlfriend who had just started the game at the time, to realize I could use the big aetheryte in towns to teleport to the smaller ones.....Until then I had just ran to the nearest small one and used it XD....you can't imagine how big the face palm was :P.

My most recent moment has to be when I was desynthing the other day. There I was just clicking through the confirmation windows, desynthing best man gaiters for fciii's, and then went to do the few I had in my chest. Not paying attention as I clicked through I managed to desynth my i110 crafted melded NIN pants >.>.......That teaches me to never desynth while tired again XD. Very expensive mistake >.>.

6 months later I realize I've invested 20 points into DEX on my Drag

*facepalm and shakes head at my former self

Hamming out my rotation in t9, doing the l2>r2 hotbar switch and accidentally hitting elusive jump...into the heavensfall. This has also happened in t11 during the add phase. I have now moved elusive jump..loldrg indeed
