Can we have "true" fantasy-esque ( just made that up!) elemental weapons please!?

I'm down for armor. Having something akin to materia slots for elemental resistance materia would be awesome.

Which I always thought was Yoshi talking out of his #&@ again. Oh we spent a year completely redoing everything in the game but... It was too hard to take the elemental info out of the UI.
