"A High Wind in Ishgard" needs fixed!!

I thought you actually HAD to use the level 1 Bait. I'm using Moth pupa's and it's terrible. If you're saying that information is wrong I'll have to look it up!

I believe you can but it has been awhile since I tested it so I could be miss remembering. It could be that I just used an odd bait that the fish in that zone didn't bite on as much. Either way it should take all of 5 mins to test out for yourself.

You can not use ocean bait, you get the same message you would normally fish with the wrong bait. Just tested it.

I've been using Floating Minnow lure for the last few months. I used to use Moth Pupa too and hated having to restock, I was working on Big Fish at the time too and a couple of random baits on me. Then one day I forgot to check on my Pupa stock and ran out mid fish session so switched to the lure for what-the-hell. Caught the last tangle skipper and the snow smelt.

Plus since it is a lure you don't lose them. I still have the same 2 that I crafted yonks ago (made 3, gave one away free to another fisher who didn't know what bait to use)

If the weather is right, I use Midge Baskets in Mor Dhona while trying to fish up Ehcatl quest fish in the Tangle. That way I'm doing three things at once:
- Catching quest fish
- Fishing up a Boarskin Map
- Trying for Ninja Betta fish

'course, you need to have a well-geared FSH to try for Ninja Betta, so low-level FSH won't have that option...

If you're talking the OP, it was made to mock the dozen threads about how the crafting part was too hard relative to the other ixali quests, but nobody got the joke.

Floating minnows will only catch betas and crayfish there, and are way cheaper than the baskets.
