Hard to believe it's been two years already...

I recorded several cutscenes and after meteor struck, I made a video remembering my character from 1.0 on the song Stand Out :)

Can't believe it's been so long already..
Honestly, why don't we have an event for this? In the lore of Eorzea this is the coming of the 7th umbral era, something that should be remembered, but it seems it's remembered only in the main scenario and they despite a few NPCs and quests it seems to end up insignificant.
Next year please have a Meteor remembrance day.
I was wondering if someone was going to do a post like this for Veterans/Remembrance/Armistice Day. And for game specific purposes, if we were going to use the Eorzean Calendar, it meant this is the 11th day of the 6th Astral Moon. Nonetheless, you get a salute for starting this thread from the Maelstrom of Limsa Lominsa. Job well done, sir.

It’s been 2 full Earth years since Dalamud came crashing down from the sky! Time has been flying by! While I was busy with work related tasks, I reminisced about my final days in Eorzea before Dalamud wreaked havoc across the realm. It was quite the epic conclusion to 1.0, with cities and major camps being flooded with hordes of monstrous foes. The final battle played out all too quickly, as the Garlean forces waged their battle against those of us remaining in the fields of despair… then the servers went down. I remember sitting in awe watching the beautiful cutscene for the first time, and nearly fell out of my seat as Bahamut broke out of Dalamud and brought its devastation upon the lands.
Looking back on it, I never would have imagined I would be working on FFXIV. What an awesome turn of events!
With A Realm Reborn coming to a close (But not too soon, as we still have many new features coming before 3.0), we get to look towards Ishgard and the skies with the release of Heavensward. What an exciting time for all of us FFXIV players :D.
Here’s to another year; what are we in store for next?!
Hope the end of ARR and beginning of Heavensward is close to as epic as the transition from 1.0 to 2.0 was.
