I've noticed that the developers have this habit of adding the most basic menial functionality, and having it require millions of gil as an investment (not to mention a great deal of time) to even be able to take advantage of it. If they want to add high level recipes, I would think it would be for things that have a bit more prestige. Leave the menial stuff for low to mid range recipes. I really don't see why it requires a master crafter to make a broom. Perhaps someone can explain it to me?
