Dreadlocks?! Really??!!

I have no clue what's the reasoning that HAIRSTYLES are race locked?!

I mean... It's hair! It can be bent to any shape the owner wishes!

I based my current glamour around the fact that it clips very little with my hair and my body.
Anything with a skirt below the knee and I clip into it with knees, feet, hair, you name it! It's terrible!

It's a shame but if ever want to change the glamour I really have to consider how it will clip before anything else.

My main issue w/ the dreads is that they move and highlight awkwardly so... as cool as they are I didn't use them. =\
Maybe they are less awkward on smaller races?

i want dreadlocks on my midlander ._.

It's my heartfelt wish that male characters, especially male Highlanders, eventually get dreadlock options. I wouldn't have believed that SE would actively provide styles for different textures of hair beyond the afro/kinky styles at launch for Midlanders but now that female characters have the choice I'm filled with hope for the future.

As a former Hyur gone elezen you want crappy hairs? Id KILL for my shoulder length bobs back that only hyur got. Know what elezens rare hair is for women? Bald. lol

I wanna try the new hair too so I support this thread. xD

More people who don't know of the "hairstyle rotation", so here it goes again:

Each major patch:
1) ONE race gets ONE unique hairstyle that others cannot have yet, like in...
2.1 Roegadyn
2.2 Elezen
2.3 Highlanders
2.4 Miqo'te

2) ALL others races (with the exception of the race that obviously already has it) get access to the "special hairstyles" from previous patch, meaning:
In 2.2, we got access to 2.1's Roegadyn hair (with the exception of Miqo'te for graphic reasons);
In 2.3, we got access to 2.2's Elezen hair;
In 2.4, we got access to 2.3's Highlander hair (dreadlocks, and that headband long cut for males).

So calm down, you'll get them "damn catgirls"'s hair in 2.5.

All I want is a low cut fade or even a afro...

Adding the dreadlock hairstyle to male characters would require adjustments to the current dev. schedule so this may take a while, but the team is looking in to it.

They may be able to add a male version of the dreadlocks that were added in Patch 2.4, but they will need to account for the adjustments that must be made for the different physique and shape of the male skulls.

Can we get Body Tattoos (character customization option, not tied to an equip)?
