Welcome to the Atma of Crafting
i must be very lucky, yesterday i got my first book. Had 9 NQ´s with the 3 HQ´s but no craft was more then 17% ;)
can you guys please link your rotation the most i got is 10% :'(
I'll just chime in with what worked for me. I don't know if it's the best way but I managed to get it done in 10 or so attempts.
Don't treat it like a rotation. Just go as long as you can while still leaving enough CP for some kind of finisher rotation.
I'd start off with SH2, use 3 PbPs and start using HT. Every single time I got a good proc, I used ToT. I basically just used SH2 and HT on repeat, using ToT whenever possible. When I got down to 20 or 10 durability the first time, I'd MM2. Then I'd start doing it again. Eventually I'd get down to 20 or 30 CP and use MM1 to set up for my finisher. I'd do SH, GS, Innovation, Ingenuity 2 and BB to finish off and then however many CS2 you need to finish. Sometimes i wouldn't have enough CP for Inno so I'd skip it.

Notes
- You need to get to 10+ stacks of IQ to even have a chance at getting over 50%. If you don't, use reclaim. This is very rng dependent. You need a lot of good procs and a lot of successful HTs.
- You have to be a bit aggressive. There's times where SH2 wore off and I had 2 turns left for CZ to wear so I'd HT with no SH2 up and refresh CZ. You have to take chances like this to try and maximize your touches and CP.
- A couple of times, I got so many good procs I was able to MM2 a second time. That's ideal as it gives you even more opportunities to build stacks before setting up for your finisher.
I tried it 3 times last night. I reclaimed the first two and got 64% on the third with a good condition on byregot's and pretty good luck overall. Still got a NQ brocade in the end, so I guess my luck wasn't that good. I have artisan's tool and all the old BiS stuff fully melded. I put 16 craftsmanship and 6 control on my offhand, so I have a slightly higher craftsmanship than most. I also used HQ bouillabaisse.
On that 3rd one, I used SH2, 2xPbP, 2xRapid, 1xStandard Synth, and then was barely close enough to finish with 1 careful synth without ingenuity. Upon further reflection, I think it would have been better to do SH2, 1xPbP, 4xRapid, and then just 1 CS to finish. Would have saved 30CP at the expense of two more 80% RNGs. Of course, I am refreshing SH2 as needed, as well as comfort zone and tricks of the trade. I try to do MM2 as much as possible.
I'm probably going to go back and try again later. I'm sure I can get the books, but it is a bit discouraging that I can't get much further than that without a truckload of Ehcatl Sealant, which was selling for 750k a pop last night. All this just to be able to craft i110? Makes me wonder why I shouldn't just grind out Poetics and Soldiery instead. Ah, who am I kidding? I'm a crafter. I'll do it if for nothing more than the sense of accomplishment.
I saw this rotation floating around but I've yet to try it, and I saw no base stats for it but I hope it helps, I'll try messing with it at some point. Good luck

If someone doesn't meet the Craftsmanship requirement, change it up to make it your own. You'll go farther being flexible and having understanding of how crafting mechanics work rather than just following someone's rotation blindly.
Last night, I made my 3 LTW HQ items for the book without the supra tool. Since I was short on the craftsmanship, I had to change things up a bit from what I usually do. The math isn't too bad. There is a linear relationship for your synthesis efficiency to the actual progress output. From there, you can see how many Rapid Synthesis, CS2, etc you need. Keep in mind that the game seems to always round down (not in your favor). The first time I attempted one of these HQ items, I had done out all the PBP math along with how many other synthesis steps I needed. I wound up 2 progress short and botched it. When I did the synthesis again, I checked the result of PBP and I think one of them shorted me 2 progress points due to the rounding. Fair warning. And I had been so proud that I had a rotation that hit 801 on the nose, which likely means that I was probably saving someone on either CP or durability by doing so. Oh well.
Yeah, I'm sort of questioning why I'm doing all this. The market right now for a lot of this crafting stuff is for...well... crafters. The only people that are going to buy Artisan's X are other crafters. Most of the other items I've seen in books are i110 stuff that fall into one of two categories:
- Too expensive for players that actually NEED i110 gear
- Glamour items for players that don't need, and even then... the cost of it is too high.
On my server, I haven't quite found what is selling. I should just do my dailies for sealant and reap the gil. But, like you, I'm a crafter and if I can't make something myself, I'm not pleased.
