The only thing that disappoints me is that the chocobo flying seems to be a unique mount instead of the chocobo we acquired at around lvl 20 or so based on the name 'black chocobo'. I'd strongly prefer to ride my Twiggy instead. I mean I named her, that makes her special as far as I'm concerned. c: Why can't we buy a special nut or something that allows our chocobos to fly as well?

I hope the flying sticks to special zones fit for it as well. In Wow, as somehow else has said, it's merely a perc and it makes traveling less interesting.

Not that I enjoy the slow debuff... why SE ;;

If you don't want to use flying mounts just ride the thing along the ground, except in the bits where flying is the only option to access a certain point on the map.

...which is about as dangerous as running around in the cities? 8) I mean you can totally get stuck in objects!

But yeah to sum it up: 6 flying mounts being worked on, one being the chocobo; 7th one hinted at; flying is completely seamless in 3.0 zones, you can take off, fly, land, run then take off again anywhere in those places; also, single-rider airships announced but no details given yet.

Well I for one am happy because one of the best part of FF IX was the flying Chocobo and to ACTUALLY have something in-game which I always keep blabbing about is +10000

And for those of you who aren't fond of this, there are other flying mounts coming so stop with the doom and gloom already.
