Lazy retainers

My retainers aren't lv 50 yet, but is it better to send them on quick ventures or the exploration ones?

also, what is the best way to earn ventures? daily beast tribes?

I would do the highest exploration one that is avaliable, but It's been a while, I think the cost per venture was better that way.

To earn ventures, the daily beast tribe works, as well as hunting down the leves that give you ventures for their completion, or buy them off of your Grand Company.

Do you hunt? 5 ventures for 10 seals. GC is 5 ventures for 1500.

My fc's mate's retainer brought back 2 pure white dye .. The retainer is ilv 88 archer

They only need Gathering. Make another set and meld only Gathering to cap on it. It's relatively inexpensive. Buy another lv50 tool from calamity salvager if you haven't already.

Can the new sets of dyes be sold in the MB? relegating their purchase via retainer quick venture was a bad move.

Sure, quick venture is "easier" but its pure range :(

No, you can't list them on mb, or give them to anyone else, they are tagged as untradable.

What do you expect from your retainers? You are only paying them 2 venture coins at can not even be used at Chuck E. Cheese's.

I've gotten tin coins, fishes, or worse. But I've also been pleasantly surprised by a Vanya Robe that I sold for 150K, 2 moogle grimoires, Ultima amulet, and many other odds and ends I was able to sell for 15K or more. But yes, it is RNG, and most of the time the stuff be lucky to sell for 500 gil.
