Is there a list of the 87 legendary fish? I tried looking at i55 and above and got more than 87 but know some of the i55 do not count towards the achievement.

all ilvl 75 + 80 fish are big and all green ilvl 70 fish

that are all big fish actually ingame

That's what I thought initially, but if I'm not mistaken there are some duplicates on the list. I came up with 71 there, just wondered what the other 16 were. I think some of the 55 fish count, Mahi-Mahi does give the legendary animation doesn't it? I fished a little last night for some of the 55 fish I hadn't caught, Shall Shell being one of them and it did not count towards the achievement.

edit: For some reason it's not viewing correctly for me through Firefox, when I switch to the next page on the list I get some repeats. I think you're right though, found another list that had some i80 fish that I didn't find on my xivdb list.

there are several 1 and 2 star fish with big bite animations, but they arent big fish, even titanic sawfish isnt

all "green" fish are big fish, nothing else

Rhotano Sea (Sterncastle) - Little Thalos King fish - you have to fish 3x little thalos in order to unlock the 5min buff that lets you fish up the new king... BUT it is impossible with max stats with supra with current gear... insufficient gathering at 393 (FC buff + 10 and supra and spinach quiche) .... this means that the new Forager's i60 gear melded is required for many of the new fish.
