An "IC/RP" status would be nice to have!

I've actually been discussing this very thing with many of my friends. Often we assume the others are busy, when in fact they're just whittling time until someone else appears to be interested in roleplay.

Roleplay is a major reason why I play FFXIV. I'm glad it's insofar been supported by the development team, and I'm actually looking forward to additional features.

Please take time to consider this, and possibly other flags.

A roleplay and mentor icon would be really great and helpful. As an RP'er I'm never sure whether to approach people, and as someone who's very nervous in dungeons first time around it would have been lovely to have a mentor option.

It would especially be helpful to new sproutlings, if I see one I always ask if they're new to see if I can offer any help. To give newbies the knowledge that some people are kind/approachable/ready to help would a big benefit.

I don't RP and I'd make a pretty crappy mentor, but I like options so I support this. Anything that facilitates grouping or socializing I can get behind pretty easily, even if I won't use said features.

We're playing roles in a pty to fight strong stuff.

Roleplaying as everyone here puts it is pretending they are their character acting it all out essentially playing their character "role" of them self.

On the topic of RP, is there an unofficial RP server? I've just recently come back to the game and have been considering starting up an alt to jump into some RP with.

Most RPers seem to flock to Balmung (Legacy) or to Gilgamesh (not Legacy).

...I know on Balmung, it's hard to find a populated area that /doesn't/ have RP going on.
