They're both 2000 and they both gain points at the same rate. All it is is an SB guage.

6 DPS and over 38 runs the average came out to 1m35s including queue times, entering, leaving, waiting for everyone to load etc. etc. Thats 38 light in just over 1 hour. No physical kills took more than 1m. You are grossly underestimating the down time.

It still seems like the most consistently simple way to farm light, if not actually the most efficient. I'd like to see some actual run numbers for an hour of Garuda HM to compare, but it seems like finding the "bright" rotation will be the best option.

Thanks for the thread and spreadsheet! :) Here are my findings so far (these times were based on Kill (sorry I saw your thread after I wrote down the times) - but considering each Primal kill took us only about ~3 minutes you can back time it if it helps).

Content: Garuda HM
Light Received: Gentle Light
Time: 4:35 a.m. Server Time

Content: Ifrit HM
Light Received: Bright Light
Time: 4:43 a.m. Server Time

* Did another 3 x Ifrit HM immediately after (all 3 - 4 min kills): All Bright Lights. Then...

Content: Ifrit HM
Light Received: Gentle Light
Time: 5:07 a.m. Server Time

Then immediately...

Content: Garuda HM
Light Received: Gentle Light
Time: 5:18 a.m. Server Time

So maybe it's just random?

It is not. In your case Ifrit changed at 5:00 am.
