Final Fantasy XIV: Rebirth Trailer (Work In Progress Feedback)

By the way, I am looking for someone who is willing to help me translate some dialogue into Japanese for subtitling work. I want to establish an intro to this video.

Try to see what the FF type 0 track #3 sound's like along side the video.
It's pretty nice, plus it matches the FF universe.

Like I said though, the .hack music is nice ^^

Nice! I definitely recognize that video. Along with some combination of 'Recollection', 'Remember', 'Epic' and 'United', yours is one of the ones I would use to "introduce" people to FFXI who were curious what it was about.

It usually resulted in them going out and buying the game :-p.

Looking forward to the finished release!

I will say, the music didn't really "click" with me for it, though.

Not too sure about that, because FF Type 0 appears to be more of a modern fantasy universe, while FFXIV is an old-fantasy universe.

Edit: Plus the music seems like the pacing wouldn't fit well - it is very...um. Rock-ish. I don't recall FFXI or FFXIV having rock music. :p

If anyone has suggestions for a good Final Fantasy track for the trailer, suggest it to me. I will consider changing tracks only if it fits well with the theme I am working with - and that's the foreboding, impending doom of the Seventh Umbral Era.

Though it'd be awesome as heck if I had a composer whip up a custom track. That would save me so many headaches!

Meh, why create a trailer for FFXIV? You work for them? Just make original videos of your character like that Japanese guy, whats his name always wearing a subligar.

Maybe because their marketing team is full of idiots and I want to school their asses?

(Like what I did with my FFXI trailer. I don't even need to point out how much their trailer quality sucked prior to my trailer, then suddenly they started bringing their so-called A-game afterward. Oh wait, I just did.)
