In regard to the Scholars

I believe they need to nerf SCH's DPS.

Have you seen co-ordinated SCH/ SMN stacked teams? They can totally 8v12 easily.

Here's how:
0. BLM Sleep enemies and force them to purify
1. Mark an enemy
2. Have your 5 SCH/ SMN DoT that one guy
3. 5 Banes and some miasma 2s
4. See 4 deaths as the DoTs tick for over 1k dmg!/ 3 sec and -20% healing received!

Bane doesn't spread the Disease part of Miasma, so only the original target has healing debuff. Furthermore, it doesn't stack so you will only have -20%.

SCH dps has already been nerfed in the past for pvp and doesn't need anymore nerfing. i don't know about coordinated teams but i know when my team is all lined up with SCH/SMN dots, i have no problem keeping them up when blowing cds as long as i have another competent healer healing with me. maybe u just had bad healers.

getting really bored with people calling out nerfs on classes just because they didn't handle the situation properly and got merked. so many SCH haters.

Yes please don't nerf scholar, I want to keep baiting people into trying to "catch" me and then get soloed until they hit their sprint and try to run with their tail between their legs. :)

Honestly I'm still trying to figure out why the JPN are treating PVP like a traditional RPG. Sounds to me like they would be an easy team to beat. Tell them to read "The Book of Five Rings".

Nerfing SCH the first time was the precise reason why we lost so many PVP SCHs to begin with. And if SE actually listens to comments in JP forums and caters to their tears, it will be exactly what will ruin PVP (because it won't just affect SCH but most likely ALL caster/healing classes) and FFXIV will go down with having the worst PVP environment out there and it will die as noobs flood the battlegrounds because no one wants to play with bads. Cuz if they do nerf SCHs again, I most certainly won't be playing this game. Ain't nobody gonna want to play no PVP as a healer where they just get zerged down in 5 seconds because the devs decided to cater to baddies.

A healer that can't Sprint to get away and a healer that can't DPS to defend himself is a dead healer. I've played WoW long enough to know how miserable it is to be a healer and have no Sprint to get away and no DPS to defend myself. But if SE does do that then by logic they must increase the absorption of Galvanized to make up for the increase damage we will be taking.

Seriously have to agree with all the scholars here that we really cant afford any nerfs. Just Because we can't be killed in under two seconds, doesnt make SCH overpowered; it gives us a fighting chance to survive and do our job. God forbid, our grps get healed while fighting you. shocking.

Maybe they should just take away all damage and healing in frontlines and we can play a giant game of tag, or red rover up in mid.

I hope we dont lose Aetheric Burst or Aura Blast. Aetheric is one of our best defensive reactionary move to melee/tanks being on us, and aura blast can give us enough room for a good Adlo or Succor. Not to mention knocking people off cliffs.

Coordination makes anything seem OP.

Let's look at BLM.

1. 6 BLMs cast Fire III to obtain Astral Fire III.
2. Each BLM individually Phantom Darts a Target.
3. Every BLM choose different sections of a cluster of people to sleep.
4. All 6 BLMs combo [Raging Strike(Int Pot) + Swiftcast + Flare] at the same time.
5. Everyone dead.

Hell, doesn't even require Phantom Dart to do that LB2 qualifier.

Did a little research on JP 2ch. It is pretty much 100% that Scholar will be tune down, bur rumour now is the pet will be getting a vit nerf. (HP), not on Scholar directly. Other rumours are including a power up on the Paladin, direction requirement of MNK/DRG, and a minor buff on BRD's distance penalty.
