Lightning Strikes a Third time ?

I hate Snow with such intensity that it is hotter than the fires of Ifrit's Cauldron. On the other hand, I look so much better with his hair and attire than he does and I'm far less of a douchenozzle than he is.

If they were to bring back the Lightning event a 3rd time, I probably wouldn't do it. I have completed the event the first time on my male Miqo'te and the second time I was able to get to the minimum level needed to complete the quest chain in under two weeks on a female Miqo'te (on a different server). So I have all the things on this account.

This is more or less for the people who haven't yet had the chance to do the event, and the PS4 players (who fall into the former category as well).

Personally, I am not really a fan of them doing these events again just to appease newer players that may have started playing due to the PS4 launch. This was something that was suppose to be a one time event in order to promote specific SE games. The only reason the Lightning Returns event was held twice in the past was for the JP and NA launches of the Lightning Returns game. (which was already more than generous enough for them to have done)

But now they're doing it a third time, for no better reason that to appease the players that cried because they didn't get a chance to do it the first two times? Give me a break.

So much for limited time events and the gear associated with them. Makes the whole thing seem cheap to me. Why I bet in a year's time we'll get to have Lightning Strikes a fourth time for all the "new" players that again didn't get to participate in the 3rd time the event's been live, and then a year later after that.

Why don't we just set up a vendor and sell all the gear for 1 gil all year 'round, because this Limited time event isn't actually so limited. That way nobody will whine and cry that it wasn't fair that they didn't get to do or finish the event.

Listen, SE, if you guys are going to do special events in game and then make them not so special by making them reoccurring things.. just stop. Don't even bother. Just stick to you Holiday event's because at least we know those are always reoccurring.

Yes, it was at the end of the Live Letter this morning. They will not only be redoing the Lightning Returns Event, but also the FFXI and Dragon Quest Collaboration Events.

Ah well, I can live with it coming back, maybe in the future I'll miss some "super-exclusive" event and they'll bring it back too at some point and make me happy.

I 100% agree.

Also as everyone was already hating this in Beta the dev team said her inclusion would be tied into the story in a way that would make sense for both story lines.

Bull******gshi* I say. She was just slapped on and had absolutely no business to exist on Thanalan field fighting nonsense lowbie mobs.
She was just here because Toriyama wants to think his games have created an icon. (They haven't)

It's SE though. You know the very people who said preorder drakenguard 3 for this exclusive content! Only to throw it all in the Psn store later. Same deal with FF13-3, "come get it now guys while supplies last!!" -throws all dlc on Psn later-

Only thing I've seen stay exclusive are earrings and a couple if others lol the moon one and the mog ones, as well as that contest bandana mask and 2 mounts,gloves,goggles,dala horn.. Probably a little bit more.. Everything else has been fodder for rerererelease.

So.. I'm gonna ask what stops them from releasing that stuff again?

Yoshi already said this event wont be repeated a third time, and he said that we'll get the equipment of a famous ff character which does not mean lightning. So no, this event won't happen again.
