Fish Desynth

I'm pretty sure that you can't get Clusters from desynthing. I've never gotten one ever from an Aetheryte Ring, and I've smashed a bunch of those.

I've only desynthed as far as Mahi mahi but I've gotten only shards & crystals so far no clusters.
The fish I broke down have so far given me water,earth and fire shards so I get the feeling depending what/where you fish you can pretty much get every type of shard though the most I've gotten is up to 3 from 1 fish.

I think the best thing to come out of the fish are the clear demimateria II as it sells to NPC for 1000 gil.

Culinarian is up to 68ish so I'll be fishing up some more mahis this week to level him up (its going at snail speed now ><) so I can finally get started on breaking down my 2 star fish collection

At what level can I begin to desynth Silver Sovereigns?

i spent last night doing some fishing and making a spreadsheet of my findings with desynth if anyone is interested have a look.

Your dataset is pretty small so far, but looking at it, it seems there's no difference between desynthing NQ and HQ fish. I observed the same when desynthing non-fish, but I haven't kept careful enough track.

aye still small a work in progress, and so far i have also not seen a noticeable difference between HQ and NQ fish

Nice, I'm trying to get one with no luck so far. Reached 93 cooking desynth today. Well, my fisher retainer got a new ilvl 70 rod so at least one of us is happy. xD

I still have all my other legendary fishes though...
