Dye-able AF Disappointment.

I am also not sure why they hide the simplest casual elements behind such requirements.

Want to level your Choccobo? You need an FC, the FC needs an house and you have to use your entire FC Garden for the food supply. Other players wanting to experiment with cross breeding? No room, we need everything for Choccobos! Additonaly you need to breed Glazenuts and have a 3-star crafter. For what? For a choccobo who receives a few 1.000 points of experience lol?

To dye AF gear, you also need a 3 star crafter and lots of money unless you are willing to spend the time to get all the stuff together. Really just for dying obsolete gear? Vanity is one of the most expensive elements in the Game and it can't get into my head why it is like that.

Yeah. Which I mean it sort of worked with glamour prisms - there's always a demand for those, which is what a lot of those classes needed. Alchemist kinda needed it presently, because I don't think too many people actually use potions much, few items are glamoured from them or otherwise in any demand whatsoever, etc. etc....

I'm fine with AF needing items that were crafted to be dyed, and I'm fine with that being from Alchemist. I'm not okay with the materials in question being quite absurd in myth cost just for one piece of one set of AF - I'd argue that, at least right now, the cost is going to far exceed what people are willing to pay, thus sort of shooting the whole creation of a constant demand item in the foot. If 2.4 suddenly has the materials in chests in dungeons or something, sure - but that's looking far ahead for something that's implemented now.

Why is this a problem? Should it be free? This is a fluff item. What's wrong with doing a little work. Myth are so easy to come by now. Do your dailies for maybe 3 days in a row and you'll have enough myth to buy a couple of the items you need.

I mean, yea it's expensive. The reward isn't all that great. Honestly, I just got the chest for bard to test it out. It looked ok I guess... was it worth like 350k? not really, but I had fun. Would spend again 10/10! :P

This is the least complicated MMO to exist...lol. People wanted crafting more involved, here you go. Make up your minds: Either crafting remains COMPLETELY useless in the long run, or they give it a purpose, which is it?

That looks incredible. I wasn't sure if I was going to take the time to glamour the old AF (current max crafter in all but alchemy and goldsmith..go figure). I've never bothered with glamour before personally because to me its all about the stats. But these are cool enough that I might consider it.

so your fine spending a kings ransom worth of myth (almost 2.5k for each augment, and you need 7) or gil...just to make it so your af armor can be dyed (remember, this is the only difference. they are identical in every other way.)

Myth is absolutely nothing to get. There's even bonuses for new people to duties. By the way, it takes 15k myth or more to complete an animus weapon. Gil is easy to come by so that's a non issue.Tell me, besides animus and alexandrite maps, what do you have to spend myth on if you already got i90 for your jobs through myth and/or coil?
