I would love to see a retainer hanging out on top of a random FC house trying to pull off some rooftiles, clinging to the side of a house wall, or see them making grabby hands towards furniture both inside and outside the FC houses (without any stuff actually disappearing, of course!).
As for the battle class retainers, I'd love to see something like while I'm participating in a FATE, a random retainer comes out and joins the fray. They don't have to actually do large amounts of damage, I'd just like to see them slapping some enemies around for atmosphere. Or see a retainer running to the gates of a city, fleeing a following group of lady bugs or squirrels.
I think I saw a Marauder retainer in N Than a couple days ago. Was walking south on the road, stopped for a sec, swung his axe in midair at nothing once, said something cryptic, then vanished into thin air.
SE you have set up these elaborate companion systems like retainers and chocobos but I feel like they're both missed opportunities until you give us a reason to utilise their powers.
Currently anyone at 50 is ridiculously OP to all the mobs in the realm so why even give us the option to grind chocobos to 20?
Wouldn't it be incredibly cool to have some content that's designed for groups that have their chocobos out?
Given how long some ques are even tackling a small dungeon with 2 chocobos replacing the missing party members would be super fun.
Guildhests would be another cool thing to have additional chocobo challenges in there.
It's not like anyone's asking for CT levels of complexity here, just something to make the grind to r20 worth it.
