Yeah there are a few hairstyles/tattoos and features in the character creator from other games.
Even a few nods at non game things like Final Fantasy Unlimited.

it would be nice for longer hair or some more pony tail options for mi'qote. even better it'd be nice if the hair wouldn't clip so much with armor or had better "flowing" animation

I do wish though that they would open up the hairstyles to all races, but i understand the issue with Miqo'te and their high-placed ears.

You reminded me, I would just love if they opened up all face options within a race. Currently, if you pick face #1, you are stuck with a certain eye/nose/mouth/etc style. It would be awesome if we could pick the nose from face #1, lips from face #2, etc. Would make for a lot more unique looking characters.
