I wonder what GMs actually do when the get this report.
I almost want to get myself reported just to see.

Whilst an inconvenience to some, if you have sufficient gear and can afford the stat loss, then I have no problem with someone wearing SB gear in a dungeon – But only in the accessory slots, please. Main gear SB swaps are NOT GOOD.
I have worn all white *accessory* gear in endgame dungeons as a tank with no ill effects, other than losing 1200hp and a little defence (I'm a WAR tank). I’ve done this in DF, PF and speedruns of Brayflox, and never had an issue.
Don’t get me wrong – If I didn’t already outgear the dungeons (ilvl 100 left side gear), or it caused me problems when tanking, then I wouldn’t do it. If I had an obviously new healer or DPS to the dungeon – I don’t do it either, as that’s common courtesy.
Unless wearing ALL white gear, I highly doubt someone can be legitimately reported for wearing spiritbonding gear in dungeons. Until I hear it from a GM, I’ll assume that's the case.
btw, what do you guys mean by "white gear" anyways? never heard it. :?
Oh cry me a river. I don't do it but it's totally fine in pretty much everything else but trials. Let people play they want to play.
Having said that I'm going to contradict myself by saying that ilvl requirements in the DF for trials is completely unrealistic for a random party (not expert players).
That's the main reason people do trials in PF because DF requirements mostly just don't cut it.
I SB gear constantly in dungeons for while I farmed my 9 Animus Books through DF. Though I only do the Jewelry and as a Tank while doing that it's still only ~20 Min runs through the DF.
I think this is kind of a whiney thread, personally. If you want to completely avoid the possibility of someone SB'ing in a dungeon, that's what the Party Finder is for. When you queue for Duty Finder, you're basically signing up for whatever party makeup is randomly assigned. Those players may be spiritbonding. I've done successful roulettes, speed runs, etc. in all left-side crafter gear, with some crafting accessories, as well. Were I to be reported for "harassment" for successfully healing a dungeon just due to the gear I'm wearing, it's likely someone Square is ignoring for "crying wolf" a little too often. Get off of your high horse because MMOs may not be for you if you want everything to go your way...

Posted yesterday.
People have been doing it since before 2.1.
Clearly they are allowed to wear their gear and que with a high enough ilvl. Your point is moot.Quote:
but you don't get to dick 3 other people
You're talking about four-mans... which they met the ilvl requirement to que for in the first place.Quote:
by wearing half white gear with just enough real gear to get to the ilvl requirement. You're not clever you're just making the rest of us work harder and the runs take longer because you can't heal, can't take a hit from trash mobs, or do so little damage I might as well be soloing it. The best part is it's also apparently considered harassment and can be reported depending on how big of a jerk you are about it
Did you seriously come here to complain that your runs took a few minutes longer?
Are you going to complain about fresh first time 50s with weak gear, and white jewelry in wanderer's palace next?
Also, I don't mind spiritbonders because they're the reason materia prices aren't so bad (actually, the prices are still pretty bad, but I wasn't going to spend 200k on a pair of quicktongue 3s for relic, so screw your opinion).
As long as they're not something stupid like BRDs in caster gear, or tanks in MNK gear, it doesn't matter.
Going to heal my daily roulettes with turquoise and tourmaline jewelry now. Enjoy the cry.
hey i didnt know that it was the rest of the communities responsibility to tell me what i can and cant wear. what if i just like the look of the gear better but cant afford glamours? what if im a new player and just dont know any better?
what if reporting people for completely useless and asinine reasons was itself reportable?
