Not everything has to be a re-hash of a re-hash. Yes XI was a great game in many aspects and some things should have naturally been moved over to XIV, but not EVERYTHING.

There's not a day I don't see a thread that essentially boils down to "GET THIS FEATURE FROM FFXI AND PUT IT IN THIS GAME!".

Guess what, this is the same company that made FFXI. They know the game, they know it's content... You don't NEED to suggest any of that to them because they made it in the first place!

:D First time i have a discussion in this forum, in my opinion there are a couple of thigs every MMO has to copy/paste with its own touch to have really good content proved in other games, this gives more time to to the devs. to add new types of content not seen in other MMO's

I dont disagree with you that much, i dont like to have another copy FF XI, just like RIFT is of WoW, but i want more content, and yes they know how to make games, but is better to remind them how good they were in other games, they are already implemmenting things they had in FFXI with the FFXIV touch, ex. autoattack, jobs, and dungeons from other games most likely.

where i agree that i don't want to see another ffxi, specially in content. campaign battles in what they are is pq's in warhammer or what gw2 is doing. they are what any mmo needs to add to there game, it's just live action that happens in places you go to. like big quests where u can gather and kill hords with groups with very little effort to make party. lot of mmo's are doing this and is very fun route. but i'd like to see it different then ffxi, i like to use the word "More", more mobs,more bosses in them, more story behind each campaign, more different campaigns for each spot, have the world interchanging like gw2 with theres, would be awsome. ..so yeah more. lol.


and people need to screw off with the word troll, he is stating his opinion, just cause he might be the person with different opinion don't change that he has a opinion. u might as well call him a terrorist cause he thinks his country is full of corrupt retards. how bout u stop using the T word and acually argue his opinions or just ignore him ..rather then calling him some stupid name.

The limit was how many people can fit within one zone lol i think that was the limit which is good enough for me lol.

I called him a troll because of his first post appeared to be just a troll, but after his second post i knew he wasnt trolling thats why i took the time to reply him.

If something like campaign were to be in the game, which is not instanced, then yes, no player limit. But if there's something like an instanced, player-triggered campaign system, then yes, limit the number of players.

I've always been a fan of horde mode style game types in shooters. So I think an instanced one might be fun. And if it's instanced, you have a lot more control over enemy numbers and strength. I'd prefer more enemies versus enemies that live longer (unless it's some special NM type dude).

Every MMO in existance has instances/dungeons, does this mean they are all copying each other? No, most MMOs have their own unique twist to dungeons/instances. When I say I want campaign, I'm basically saying I want a large scale solo joinable pve event that I can do regularly (continuously throughout my playtime) for exp and rewards. Whether it's called Campaign, Rifts, Epic Quests, etc, I don't care. I just want the basic premise behind Campaign to make a showing in FFXIV because it was a great idea and one of my favorite parts of FFXI. In fact, it was so great that other newly developed MMOs are taking the idea such as Rift, and I believe Guild Wars 2 is planning something similar as well.

The only people creating FFXI/FFXIV drama are people like you crying every time someone mentions an idea from FFXI.

It clearly states in the ToS that this game was made specifically for me and those who agree with me.
