Nah,

Our special mount should be a Grand Staff of moving musical notes. Instead of using some worthless whistle, we could initiate our 3 second delay by playing a melody on our harp, with notes swirling around until they form a solid "magic carpet"-esque platform. Instead of sitting, we continue playing the song in music stance as we float to wherever our heavenly voices want to go ;)

But there isn't a shortage on SMN so I don't see it coming any time soon :/ we'd get Monk mounts before that.
Maybe Scholars will be next as they are healers and rare too, a tonberry styled mount.
