it's not a stupid argument to say you don't "need" the gear outside of coil, but just because you can't get the gear due to low skill doesn't mean others should be punished for it. they did get the gear without having it so it can be done if skilled enough.

If people are good enough to beat the new turns, they kind of deserve to be a higher gear level than everyone else. It's not necessarily them stroking their e-peens, it's them being proud of accomplishing something that not many people can accomplish. The only reason to devalue their achievement would be out of jealousy of not being able to do it yourself, and it's not that person's fault if you are incapable of handling the harder content in the game. In the end though, it's just a game, and what does it matter if someone is a higher ilvl than you? It just means they'll most likely run out of content faster and get bored.

Just think of Coil gear similar to end game dungeons like Valkyrie Profile 2's Seraphic Gate.

End game dungeon full of goodies that you don't really need and are optional if you want it then do it. No idea why players seems so stressed out over loot that's a bit better.

I actually think a scale down ilvl should be in place. This way, old content doesn't become insignificant/waytooeasy because of new gear. Similar to the way gw2 does it, being scaled down is still better than being right on the recommended ilvl. So e.g. recommend = i70 scaled = i75 or 80. 80 is probably better since the recommended is usually too hard for the average folk. Else further down the line when i200 comes out or something, it would be silly for those people to be able to solo or two man dungeons.

Yes they will. See, they actually know how to use their gear. That's why they were clearing T1-4 in i70, and T5 in the low 80s. T6-8 was done in low i90s.

Meanwhile, you have people in i90-100 gear that still can't do T1 or T2, or that can't do EX primals. Any of them.

Come again? Did you even read the posts in the thread?

All of the people screaming for ilvl caps don't even understand that they won't be able to do content anymore because they won't have that ol' gear crutch to fall back on.

I say bring it, cap all the things. I won't have any issues doing the new dungeons at i70, but how about those people that still wipe to Diablos in i90?

since t9 has already been beaten, an the highest anyone couldve possible been for it was i92ish (maybe a lil higher if they got some coil drops otw up), seems to me that nobody needs i110, an its just as much of a perk for non-coilers as it is for coilers. i didnt understand the point of this debate in the last thread an still dont i guess lol, not like it matters anyway since the only way to get 110 is to do coil
