Could be worse. You could be killing place holder mobs (Dhalmel) for a few hours hoping for Serpopard Ishtar to pop up... and then repeat the process two more times (two hours+) and then move onto the NEXT "kill place holder mobs until NM appears."

Good news: you don't have to do it. There are other ways to get high level weapons.

It's actually kinda genius when you think about it. Assuming you're either A) working on a second weapon or B) not the sort of player who has to have their relic upgraded by the third day after the patch, this is overall encouraging more people to do fates and help out around the world. Say you're running past a fate- you'll stop and help, on the off chance you get your drop.

This is why I hate all this SE secrecy crap, "oh we are not gonna tell you to spoil things" then just add things they thought are nice, but actually no one likes, if they had released their idea of how they want to implement this quest, players can at least have a vote or some kind of input before it is implemented
