I think it's fun.
Im probably gonna say something stupid but, wouldn't playing a class be better than a job in PVP?
I mean a CNJ using GLD / MRD defense buffs and whatnot, or a DPS using every types of damages buffs, wouldnt it be helpful ?
Unless of course if i70 / 90 PVP gear is "job only". ( Im not really interested in PVP so i dunno bout this ).
It seems that they're leaving a lot of room for new jobs. I really hope they add something soon (by v3 at least), the jack of job diversity and build diversity seems very unfinished.
Not entirely because jobs get stat boosts that always on unlike having to use those defensive abilities that are on a very small duration. So in PVP not so good for every class. Most of the disciplines of war can benefit from being a class for PvP due to having CC abilities but it is still very risky.
And so does scholar. And I don't think you see my point. It is the foundation for the job yes. But are handed with the job/class system, that job is all there is above level 30. I just wish for something that would make the class more usable without the added job bonuses.
you get more Additional slots for actions without having a job soul crystal equipped. and if your level is synced to to Lv29 or below. it stands to reason any benefit from your job would be negated. (except SCH) so if you really want to... you could just take off your crystal and use more additional actions. also there some cross-class actions that are usable by your class. but not by your job. i suppose it all depends on your play style. but there ARE reasons to un-equip your jobs soul crystal.
Be THM, equip all allagan + wep, cross-class every dps cd + stoneskin & Eye for an Eye => be the most hilarious support class with infinite mana ever.
This is the strangest thread by far...
You choose a class which leads you to your job at a higher level which, without a doubt will be the advanced version of your base class...
wtf would you use a wooden sword when you unlock the master sword in Zelda?
