I want an ebony horse too! I see them often here on Mid. Lots of folks having their RNG prayers answered.. Hopefully I can get in on that.

Yes, it's RNG but the percentage of chances that items will drop can be adjusted.

I find statements like this to be conflicting, the general consensus here on the forums is that a lot are tired of the handouts.. When this response is posted it just makes things look so back and forth. RNG can suck, but this is in no way on FFXI level or say WKC where the drops were less than 1%.

If your friend was only whm for drops on the 1st run that was a mistake.
Each coil drops 2 items that can cover 8 jobs. So the odds are not in anyone favor. In our case we don't see that many warrior drops and it rains healer and casting gear.

Things to note. You can build you whm using most Mythology while waiting for Allagan. Also The Feet, Legs and hands for whm mythology pieces are Best in slot anyway.

If your friend was not wanting to be a whm in the 1st place then it may be a thought to consider another job or find another coils group if another job cannot be fit in.

Good news is in about a month you will be able to repeatedly run Coils 1-5 allowing you a greater chance to get the drop (although I suspect there may be a gear lock similar to Crystal Tower).

Regardless keep trying you never know sometimes it just rains the gear you want and sometimes it is a desert, that is what keeps us coming back. If they gave you everything all at once every time noone would be doing coils today.

I finally got my Allagan Tunic of Healing on my birthday two weeks ago, exactly 6 months after the game launched. We had been clearing turn 4 weekly since about 5 months ago. Finally, full i90 WHM.

Been doing coil for 5ish months now and have yet to see caster body or legs drop even once >_>

Months of coil getting the shaft on healing drops yet we were finally rewarded first two allagan weapons we got were the sch book and whm cane.

But RNG isn't random when we have called what is in each chest weeks in a row, it is not random when it is ALWAYS the same thing.
