You know it would be cool if FC's would have all the stuff F2P games got and more.

The only furniture items that have a function so far just bring town-like features to the house (mailbox, aetheryte, company chest). There's nothing gameplay-related offered as a bonus.

I think it'd be nice if, at least, there was some minor buff that you could apply at the house so that people would treat it more as a rally point before instances.

Why should companies get special, house-based bonuses that those not in a company can't get? What if you're fine without a company as, really, right now there's not much reason to be in one aside from the occasional minor buff(s), possible extra storage and a house that you might have the ability to decorate. Rank permitting, of course. I haven't been in a company for at least several months and I don't feel the slightest bit left out. It's not needed. Yet. No point making being in a company some kind of elitist thing, all that serves is creating rifts in the community.

See I completely understand your post, I'll just pretend I didn't because you said something mean about a game from my favorite franchise of all time, I'll throw in a mindless canned catch phrase while I'm at it too. As to what you said, you got to understand the game was rushed to meet deadlines once again so it was and still is missing a lot of features, some like a public FC message board are just now coming next month in 2.2 and 6 months after launch, some other bugs like being able to promote yourself above your current rank up to FC Master are just plain silly and they might not even get addressed because they're considered working as intended, fancy that.

Hard to read but to sum it up your describing F2P features in a non F2P game, I also don't want any reason to further promote RMT by giving people 'bonuses' for having more in game currency.

I have not seen such a feature in any free to play game I have ever played.

On the other hand, if the guild leader (or equivalent there-of) goes on a kicking spree, removing everybody, or the majority from the guild (or similar social group) you're better off finding a new one anyway.

Since when is working as a group (time and gil spent) toward something they want (housing-based bonuses) elitist rather than a reward for working toward it?

Alert the presses! People should not be rewarded for spending their time working toward anything because other people who didn't work toward it won't have it. Unless they join after it's already in place and would still end up essentially getting the reward with no effort expended! You should probably not bother leveling any crafting, either, or earning gil to purchase crafted items since they give bonuses that people who don't put in the time to level crafting or earn gil can't have. Equally ridiculous.

The logic on these forums is sometimes just... wow.

Didn't say effort shouldn't be rewarded, such a system is already in place in the form of company actions and they work quite well for what they do. What the originator wants is more than that. From how they describe it companies should get action bonuses just for having certain levels of population or having a certain size house. This is what can be construed as elitist and honestly we don't need that kind of vitriol.

That is another thing altogether. The things the OP was suggestion didn't even merit response, IMO. I don't think that bonuses should be determined by house size or FC population, but I don't think that having across-the-board bonuses that are applied while one is IN their FC house (such as to crafting or maybe haste to rested XP, for example) is in any way elitist. The existing FC buffs are fine for what they are, yes, and the credits used to purchase them are gained via the actions of each active member of the FC. FC housing buffs, on the other hand, would be gained by additional effort considering the cost of housing. Both are rewards for varying levels of effort.

Yeah it is crazy how f2p games have better perks than p2p ones when it comes to a lot of in game stuff. :<
