That's what is was called! Thank you! :D I wracked my brain for ages trying to remember exactly what the name they used for it was and I just settled on 'bangarra'. :p I still remember the stir that one pic caused though - I bet Yoshi and the team are still chuckling about it. :p

I like the idea of an April Fool's Event Quest Chain where Hildibrand takes the player on an amazing quest to find a great blade of legend, only to reveal that it is Excalipoor, which would have the special ability of reducing all damage dealt while Excalipoor is equipped down to 1. Or even have some "Replica Weapons" from all across the Final Fantasy franchise, but as they are replicas, the weapons themselves only do 1 damage and have a high rate of decay, requiring them to be repaired after approximately 10 uses.

This would also allow for players to "pretend" they're using powerful weapons through the "Glamours" System, when they really aren't.

Or have a multi chain quest which culminates into a fate. Getting gold is necessary to get a certain item. You go to the npc to trade it...your reward? 1gil.

Uh... guys.. why can't we get an event that allows us to go set ppl's FC Houses ON FIRE!

Imagine the shiits and giggles.

Announce that everyone with a FC house has failed to make their interest payments and that the local housing coalition will revoke all access if they do not pay it in 24 hours. Just give no other details and watch people freak the hell out.

Or add an achievement like "Witness the epic battle between Bahamut and the Primals in the skies above Ishgard" with the tagline (if clicked in your achievement page) that reads "You totally didn't miss that, right?"

The best part is S-E will have to work very little for these kinds of ideas to work.

A well-made set of fake patch notes works well too.
