RMT Solved

Troll fix, this won't work. More restrictions on players, awesome, now i cant have over 1k gil? They'd need to redesign almost anything that has to do with gil. Plus the idea is fairly stupid.

There really isnt an easy way to stop RMT spam, but by simply not allowing to trade lets say anything over 100k at a time, and not being able to send to mailbox unless on friendslist, has restricted RMT quite a bit. Not completely, but its not as bad as other games.

I'd much rather have them simply monitor anyone who trades large sums of money, or makes frequent trades of smaller amounts. But like others have said, the best solution is to simply STOP BUYING GIL, and just play the game. Gil isnt even that important in this game like it was in FF11, where some of the best geared had to be purchased with gil. What do you need millions for? Housing?

I will admit that your "sollution" would solve this game's RMT problems, because that would be killing the game entirely.

So... you want all the players money to go to the FC bank, which can only be accessed by the FC leader. In order to get any of my gill back, the FC leader has to set a weekly allowance, which obviously can't be higher than 1000 gil....

Worst...idea...ever.

Because that is an horrible idea, totally useless & it doesn't make any good in games.

Just look at all the F2P, P2W games. In every single game of this type, you can buy virtual money with real bucks, and guess what ? Pay the most be the best. People quit the games after throwing lots of money and never comes again. A mmo can't live from 400 rotating players. It needs a good playerbase which doesn't quit after 1 month because they can't pay enough to catch the top tier players

Isn't that basically communism? I.E doesn't work in practice?

Maybe if the RMT accounts that have been reported multiple times and blacklisted by hundreds of players on each server were..I dunno... banned? Perhaps their IP blocked as well?
It's not like it's going on behind anyone's backs. They know about it but have not done much more than stop beetles in WP from dropping gil.

No, they would leave the game for a ridiculous system that you want put in place for no other reason than you don't want to put 3 or 4 people on ignore each day that send you tells. Seriously man... this is like putting out a camp fire with 40 tons of water. It's way too much and would cause way more headaches than anything else.

Free companies don't just have housing... It's an easy way to post/relay messages to members who log in and is essentially a better communication method than Linkshells are. This is why FCs are chosen over linkshells to organize raids, dungeons and other events.

I also agree this idea is inconvenient. I, as well as others, would leave the game if this was implemented.
