It isn't a QUESTION of patience.. Some people have accepted that the game remodelling will take time. I sure have. But its a question of COMMUNICATION. Not related to patience or complaining.
I feel the point is being missed.
PS3 version cancelled before one year.
Subscription based model dropped before two years. Or game shut down.
You may quote me next year.
I'm sorry, but I think that you may know the answer of these questions only by reading possible new interviews with Naoki Yoshida and his team, hopefully in some Letters from the Producer or working on the Final Fantasy XIV project.
The masterplan of the company for us players has to be like every other company's, which is Letting players have fun in their [enter description of the World here] in exchange of money, that they will use to make other projects.
If all, to answer those question the Dev team would be like:
Deliver box? Because we said so.
Auction house? We'll let you know about it.
Patches? They'll be big and few/little and numerous and numbered, like X.Y[a-z]
Why roaming around notorious monsters? Because that's what you can do now. Just wait for content.
Dungeons aren't gonna fix the game? Sure, but that is just content, as the fix is the Battle System and new content will be implemented soon.
What's our masterplan? For you to have fun in our [enter description of the World here].
You talk about masterplans with more important people, like your boss or your client. We're just players that use their service in exchange of money that give suggestions in order to make this service better.
Lack of communication really is the biggest issue, in my opinion. I'm sure SE think they're communicating, but almost every thing they say is so vague that instead of getting answers, we end up with more questions.
But it's not about the COMPANIES grand plan.. It's about the development teams, and it's about the future of the game, not the service...
Money for fun is irrelevant, the topic is about their plan for implementation of content, the pattern of such content, their structure, their direction.. Not "let's exchange $$'s for :):)'s"
Then sorry, I was seeing this in a too large scale. Refrain to use those terms next time! =D
And anyway, a game is a service, and I meant the dev team too. They talk to their client, which is Wada and...
ok, I'll stop it.
Anyway, They've told the structure of their team, who's in direction and when, what and how they're going to release. It's written in the Letters from the Producer, and one of the last ones tells that they're going to release Gigantic fixes and contents until the end of Summer (which means that at the end of Summer that list will be implemented)
The best plan of all. Wing it!
Throw a bunch of **** at its fans and see what they like based on polls.
