the problem with this is most times it's not bots you are competing against. the problem is you can manipulate which order the mobs spawn and how far apart they are. after farming in the spot for a while i can literally tell you the next mob that will spawn, where it will spawn, and be ready to claim is soon as it spawns.

oh for sure. If I see a lowbie come up and try and get a couple kills in, I'll usually take that time to go afk for a drink or something. I'm usually only there for 15-20 eggs; just enough to get a weeks worth of raid food. And between flare and scathe, I usually get that pretty quickly.

How do you expect Apkallu to breed when everyone is taking away every egg they ever laid

It is a pain when you're a melee trying to do your hunting log. By the time you take out one, the rest are all dead thanks to farmers in the area.

That's very considerate of you.

It was a mistake to completely destroy the market for fleece and web and now you're asking for them to do the same here. Weever was/is one of the most profitable crafting jobs in the game and if you wanted to get to 50 effectively you had to farm webs and then fleece. Others could make decent money by farming these if they didn't craft.

SEs obsession with limiting RMT cash cows is also effectively destroying part of the market, and you still see people complaining about bots still in game for months.

I just did this myself for not one, not two, but three jobs at the same time (MNK, DRG, & BRD). A couple level 50's held me hostage for far longer than it should have taken.

There are a couple leves there that have Apkallu mobs in them. Not that I can think of the names of course. But they're your own penguiducks (duckguins?) to slaughter and they do drop eggs. There aren't a lot of them in the leve but 4-5 are better than none at all.

Spam Tab+ instant skill like Bio. I very rarely lose to farmers this way. I also have twitchy fingers with a high rate of tapping though... not that anyone has ever complained. :P

I have my tenth bar with an instant cast in the first slot for most jobs for the sole purpose of claiming. Learned the hard way farming in Sky in FFXI. Gotta have a trigger finger.

Food made from apkallu eggs are still worth money. Please add more sources of eggs so even they aren't worth crafting anymore. Thank you.

I just want mah eggs. There's effictively 4 camps and there's always that one jerk that's floating around messing up respawn timers because he can't go do something else until a camp opens up.
