PVP Botting

Ah, fair enough.

Although "If the other team is bad" isn't usually how I want to work with PvPing, would rather have an actual challenging fun fight every time. Obviously queuing as WHM I won't see these guys, all I can do is feel bad for the other guys. Usually they give up before the game even begins when they see the person's on their team, haven't lost a game against those 2 yet simply because it drains the enthusiasm from others to see that on their team.

Kinda like seeing a BLM in Level 30 gear with 2.4k health, you know what's going to happen 99.9% of the time. :]

Indeed. I meant to take nothing away from people botting. They need to be removed immediately and SE NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS to come out and say what they are doing on it LEAST say something in a short letter. Leaving their players of a small community of pvpers in the dark is such a bad business.

You are asking for far too much.

BM & CL are the same guy. He has 2 bots running at the same time. He admits he does this because "PvP sucks right now. All you do is sprint around and die, you can't even cast."

Apparently botting must not be against the terms of service, as he'd have been banned by now. He has been reported about 7000 times. He claims to be buddies with GMs, so that's probably how he got the number.

I have screenshots of him harassing me, if that will help.

It's actually ridiculous running into Bot Tanks that just run and lose games for you.

SE needs to update their subscription members about EVERYTHING they plan to do, not just in-game content. To the little potential ARR is worth atm, I doubt this company cares anymore. They may "grab the money and run".

@OP: If you care to see the outcome of this situation, please try to censor your findings on the Official Forums but reveal those BOTs in customer support.

That way this thread wont be deleted.

The forums aren't for reporting other players, it's for info, feedback~ reporting in-game bugs.

Same guy has been reported to support center many times a day since August 2013. And nothing has come of it. If support center is not even responding or acknowledging the issue, then what other avenue do people have?

BoT tanks, Healers and now DDs and not a single one has been banned yet

Its like 1/3 matches I see the other team with a BoT healer and its basically insta-win or we get a BoT tank and he is completely useless (one got stuck on a wall)

I love how Square is so incapable at dealing with this (obviously black & white scenario)

They can't balance PvP to save their life and now can't even deal with problematic players

once I hit rank 30 i'm done with PvP

Just thought I would put in my two cents...

The two offending bots, both scholars from MY server, are still active. Last night, I was paired with each one several times (pickings are slim when you are playing at 4am I guess). During one hilariously sad match, my team was given one bot while the opposing team was given the other one. So, so, so sad. Countless people have reported these people and yet they still get away with it. It's incredibly frustrating, and I truly wonder what the person 'behind' the bot is getting from this. Everyone and anyone on our server who has PvPed even a little will know who they are, and not want to play with them. It's not like getting to rank 30 will help you when you are already infamous for abusing the system and giving a lot of people headaches.

I wonder why they haven't been banned, especially when someone in this thread has said he/she personally spoke with a GM. Is it because the GM has to find the person in the act to do something about it? PvP matches are so short that there is no way you could call a GM into the match in time, and anyone who gets paired up against you and realizes you have a bot on your team isn't going to show you any mercy so you can spend the time reporting the person.

So, so far I've seen a few new bots - Tank bots, and a DPS bot. The other healer bots are still there, of course..

I find it hard to believe there isn't a way to just wipe these out, kind of like the 150 people on my banlist. Like, they're obviously very harmful for the game, and they have to be dealt with, and they're ruining the experiences for folks, so you think they'd be priority #1. :)
