It's something like 2% difference in RNG mitigation from best to worst for tanks, in most cases people will have a mix and the difference will be 1% or less; in many other games the difference from BiS per slot and the next best thing is that 1% or greater making it much more worth it, but a possible 2% difference from the "perfect full set" of gear to the "worst full set" of gear is a bit daunting to strive for considering RNG factors on drops. I agree, if you can get it great, but don't expect it or be intimidated by content for not having it.

I understand the want to grow vertically, Warrior is my favorite job to play and I would absolutely love to maximize it to the top of it's potential, but the secondary stats are just too minimal in the current content for me to bother with it right now.

Secondary stats certainly aren't negligible, you're right. I just think that the stat difference between the worst possible i90 you could be (while maintaining the accuracy cap) vs BiS isn't going to make any sort of real, sustainable difference in the content we have right now, up to Twin. Yes, 2% mitigation over the course of the entire fight is a good amount, but it's just not necessary. By the time you get there, as I said, the rest of your group will already out gear Twintania and your 2% extra mitigation over the course of the fight is honestly not going to make or break the fight. Unless, of course, you've decided to go crazy and not pop a cooldown for DS and just rely on that RNG parry to come through for you.

All that said, I'm not against people maximizing one class if it's the only one that interests them. If that's the only class you want to play and you feel the need to have the best gear you can get, I can't say you're in the wrong there. If the difference was just a bit bigger I'd definitely be in the same boat, but it just seems trivial for me to get the boost in Parry when I'm sure it won't make or break the new content in 2.2 where I'll get better gear with better secondary stats. Also I just like DRG a lot. :P
