How exactly that troll healer promoted the run on sale if not typing about it with contact infos? :) So there is a chat log to prove it.
If reported , the player must be banned /terminated.
Would be awesome if that entire group selling runs will get a termination too, obiouvsly :)
1) the biggest hurdle in em primals by far is Titan, why on earth was he promoting it in ifrit. Generally if you get Titan done ifrit is nothing, it makes no sense to get through Titan just to buy ifrit
2) that price tag is unbelievable. Pre-2.1 that could get you a twintania clear group, and even then that's high. In the current economy no one will pay that for a primal carry. Even when 2.1 launched my group sold a couple of Garuda carries at 200k, with prices going down. It's much easier than Titan but not something that warrants millions.
3) you have a vote kick button, this shouldn't be possible for one person to harass a group so blatantly.
So in conclusion pics or it didn't happen.
It was a GM for FFXI and XIV. My close friend asked the question to a GM in XIV, while being more vague in their answer, basically saying the same thing.
If you get kicked from a party it's easy to 'join in progress' and get the same party. Especially with the limited people fighting Ifrit EM in DF as opposed to fully formed parties
95% of people I know would never click 'join in progress' for a primal fight. That's a disaster waiting to happen. I can't imagine it would be hard even for a DPS to wait long clicking that option (assuming a party lost a DPS)
That requires a shortage of healers, and my experience is that every group lacks tanks more often than not. Anecdotal I know, but so is the OPs story.
^The same applies to the offending healer he would have to select join party in progress. I'm sorry but this story is unbelievable without evidence, you'd think with someone this malicious you'd think to take a screenshot.
OP, the same thing was happening with Titan Hard back when a lot of Free Companies were selling wins. They would join a DF party, sabotage the run, and 'advertise' their services to pressure people who were trying to down it the honest way into 'giving up' and just paying the fee. I expect a backlash of 'nice' FCs (just like there were with Titan Hard) who will offer 'free' wins just to help people out, as an alternative to giving into buying it.
I don't really believe in selling or carrying people. I think the fights are much more rewarding when people 'earn' it. Unfortunately, that is just my opinion, and it is not technically against ToS to sell runs or carry others. It is, however, against ToS to grief people. I'm sure the healer who was griefing you understands this, which is why he started to pick up the slack when he was 'called out' by the tank.
There really isn't a way to regulate the selling of runs. Honestly, I do not think it is a problem UNLESS there are people doing this advertising in a party. However, isn't this the same thing as when someone afks during some content in order to receive the awards with no work? Isn't this why they introduced the kick system? I understand it's a waste of time the first time, but can't people rally together to kick the person and get someone else?
