They are, they now give xp comparable to, or better than, fates of the same level, especially if you do grand company leves, which give a bit more xp than regular ones. Be sure to crank the difficulty all the way up and finish within 5 mins for the xp bonuses. I got from 42-48 BLM on less than 50 leve allowances.

ive just been doing levequests while waiting for the duty finder when leveling a dps alt class. They're pretty quick and give good exp to complement the exp from dungeons.

I'm glad nobody does fate anymore. Maybe more players will know how to play their class now.

This is so depressing.

You are playing a game, but the prime motive is not having fun, It is progressing the most efficient way? When did having fun become 'a great bonus' rather than being the entire point of you paying your sub?

I avoided FATEs when they were the most efficient way because they were so dull. Now, to each their own, but why don't you simply choose what it most fun for you and do that, regardless of the reward involved?

As DPS, it take quite awhile to get into dungeon, usually I will queue and do fate at same time. That's the best so far and I wish we have option to reset our main / story quest like any other MMOs..

Maybe people are just checking out new features or trying out different methods of leveling. You will probably see more people doing them next week or something.

The choice between choosing fates to level or dungeons rests solely on what class it is you're leveling. If you're a tank or healer, you would be a fool to not just chain dungeons until you hit 50. The gear alone on the way to the top should be an incentive. As a DD though, it would be rough. You could que and kill some fates while you wait, but then you can't be in a fate party. Depends too on the caliber of your parties in DF. In a perfect world, find 3 other dependable players at level 1, then just chain dungeons till you hit 50. Making friends, that's is the hard part though, right?

Why not simply level like the first few days of the game?

Step 1) Queue for duty finder instance
Step 2) Do other stuff to gain exp. Quests(if any left), levequests, FATE, battle log
Step 3) Profit

I'm afraid that the entire FATE spamming period made people forget how leveling went at first.

Its sooo much better now, can run and make it, can get gold, on hand in ones, people dont hand in!!! farm mobs for 15 mins its fantastic.

Maybe the ffxiv squad was sick of people only leveling in one zone with fates. This is an idea, and i'm just spitballin here, if quarrymill is too hard to solo, hit up some other zones.

25-50 >>>> quarrymill . . . coerthas . . . northern thanlan. . . done.

I doubt that was the intent at the onset, and now they're trying to "fix" it. (Cannot think of a better word than fix cuz i'm sleepy.)
