i enjoyed ct. all the wipes. brings back memories lol
You said this in regard to the 24 man pug complaints:
"Everyday closer to unsubbing, once another time sink video game comes out I'm likely gone unless this shapes up, Because this isnt fun, this is beyond irritating"
I mean, if you want to call me an illiterate bastard, despite me probably having more education than you, that's fine. If you want to be a troll jerk on the forums, something tells me THAT is why you are struggling so much to play the game, and then you want to throw your computer at the cat or whatever. Have fun, good luck, thanks for being a 5 star player and forum poster!
you are the common variable in all those failed runs
Sounds like you just got stuck with a bunch of trolls and morons. During my first run Group A and B, Group C had frequent problems but eventually got their shit together well enough to secure a win. We cleared the entire thing with about 10 minutes to spare, but that's good for 99% of the group having never done it before. The overall experience should improve as people start to learn the mechanics and the novelty of queuing up to troll people begins to wear off.
I've had runs on the Atomos trash where I very specifically explain what to do. People ask for clarification, and I do it again. Seven attempts in a row one of the groups simply DOES NOT stand on the platform. My group switches with their group and the same thing happens again, but to another lane because they still fail. An hour down the drain.
I agree with the op. Nothing wrong with being new and learning as we go, but definitely wrong if you are new and not willing to listen. Luckily ALL of the boos fights can be boiled down to these two rules:
1: Keep adds away from boss
2: Keep adds away from npc/object
Other than that its you're regular good old fashioned tank and spank.
DF'd it solo on the first day. Completed it with plenty of time to spare, only a couple wipes. Everyone chatted and was friendly. I had a blast.
It's honestly a very basic raid, problem is it's new. But really, who cares, you can only get 1 item a week anyways and you're done with it.
It's even pretty much built entirely upon the premise that you are 3 separate groups, practically a baby level raid. If you can read you can do it.
CT has been out for... hold on let count... 2 days. With all the time it takes to get access to CT, even less than 2 days of CT practice for the majority of the playerbase. That is not nearly enough time to expect pick-up groups to have their shit together. It took a few weeks for Coil pugs to actually clear through T4 without much need for explanations of fights and it's going to be even tougher with 24 people. So you should at least expect a week or two before most people running know what they are doing.
