If you aren't going to go full Fending or full Striking/Maiming, you should be using Gryphonskin.

I think those two items were changed because they were identical to the Myth stuff for WAR. Interesting that they chose to put crit on the legs though, as that is the only crit on any of our i90 gear.

As far as I'm concerned, both of those changes were nerfs, though the gloves is only minor.

Parry > DET > Crit

If you use the melded accessories, yeah, you can build a much better hybrid. Two reasons why I disagree with doing this (at least from a "What you should get" perspective): 1) It's very costly, especially on servers that aren't like ours and 2) While gil doesn't have a lot of use/value, it has the potential to weigh more heavily in the future for things like PvP armor/weapons or i90 crafted, etc. It being replaced eventually while not make/breaking your success in any content makes it very costly.

If we needed that Hybrid build to even beat Turn5, then by all means. As it stands, we won't even need close to that and by the time we might, it'll be 2.2 and better gear will be available. Again, not that the hybrid isn't BiS, rather that the effort to go from nothing or DL to that is less worth it at this point than other options. I will be doing it myself though.
