yukikaze_yanagi said it best. Even with the myth cap raised it won't increase the rate I can buy decent upgrades very quickly. It still takes weeks. For example it took me three weeks to get my +1. That's three CT items I could have gotten in the meantime as the coil gave me nothing at all. That is still a net increase. Even people in the coil have a use for this gear. Only the rare few of us actually decked out in full iLv90 have no use for it.

if you can get ilvl90 gear in or about the same amount of game time maybe just a little bit longer ( maybe one week) why would you spend time on something that does not benefit you as much as running wp and doing your coils,

Those of us running all content will have better gear quicker until those upgrades actually come. Why is this so hard to comprehend? It's as if your primary goal is to just hate hate hate on the new content. Despite the fact many people will gear up quicker due to it. "Omg why get a iLvl 80 piece when I might get a ilv90 next week?" Well for 1 week you were better geared than if you had waited. As far as mismatched looks. Welcome to MMOs. You get a piece and you use it till you get an upgrade. One day you hope all pieces match once you get the best gear. This is how things work. If this is a problem for you then you may be playing the wrong genre. Lastly, you're getting myth for doing the CT. That means it can completely replace some WP runs for your week. It's not like you have to choose WP runs or CT. You can do both and work on myth regardless of which content you choose.

It is funny how everyone was like "OMG SE GIVE US LOOT LOCK ONLY FOR COIL SO WE CAN HELP OTHERS".

Now everyone is like "OMG SE WHY YOU GIVE US LOOT LOCKOUT"

Coil is different. It gives a lot of personal responsability to everyone, it's the kind of content that requires you to know almost everything about your job and the fight.

CT, being on DF, will probably be just like CM... you do your job's role (tank, heal or damage) and you're done. Depending on how long it is, some will even see it as a weekly chore and find the fastest way of finishing it, like WP. Not something you'd need help with.

A piece of AF in 2 weeks? Not really.

It takes roughly 14 weeks to get 11 (12 for PLD) slots filled with ilvl90 Mythos items... or 12 weeks to fill 10 slots (if you don't get relic+1 and go for the Extreme Primal weapon). Only the body and legs take 2 weeks to get. You can get an accessorie each week and get a 495 piece (head/hands/feet) the week after (870 for both pieces on the 900 you're making).

Personally, I don't mind lockouts on the highest gears (ilvl.90 and up) but having nothing worth to raid in PvE, that's the problem. You will get more ilvl.90 gears per week than you'll get ilvl.80s because there are more ways to obtain the highest available pieces than there are for the "sub-high" ones.... which doesn't really make sense.

Some people go forever waiting for loot to drop in coil. While they're waiting, they can also try for some CT gear to upgrade their current DL stuff.

This. compound that with the fact that loot will still be based around the RNG and probably still the same % chance of dropping as coil. If you have no luck getting loot in coil how long a week are you going to farm for a specific piece of gear in CT... or how long will you static run it with you to help ur chances... then how pissed will you be if u DF it and a random gets the drop you have been farming for all week. So, farming CT every night all night for one piece of gear how does that make you less hardcore then the guys logging in monday clearing 1-5 then logging out for the week.
