As I understand it, the vote kick feature won't be triggered by player but will be triggered by an event (AFK for a period of time, not doing any damage for a period of time, etc... etc...)

My first time through Prae I was litterly pulled into cutscene after cutscene because the group just plowed ahead. So I did nothing until Ultima Weapon due to be locked in cutscenes I wanted to watch.
So if it is AFK or not doing any damage for a certain period of time the group could kick that player and the system as I understand it would allow it.
This is wrong.
That depends on how long a character needs to be afk before the vote prompt comes up. Most cut scenes are not all that long. Maybe a couple minutes. The afk timer will probably be more like 10 minutes. SE knows how long their cut scenes run.
I think they need to create Speed Run instances for dungeons. You just check if you want speed runs or not, then server puts you into a dungeon with cutscenes always turned off. It would be nice to turn off CS instead of hiting ESC 20 times. :P
Sometimes I watch the CS just to troll. ; D
As a tank/healer combo, my husband and I will watch the cutscenes or stick by the person who is watching the cutscenes (the new one) if the others race ahead and are buttheads. If they want to go on and do the fights without being patient, they can do so without 3 people. It is not right to pressure people who are excited about completing the game to give up this minute of victory.
If a group is going to kick you for watching a cut-scene, frankly they are probably not a group that you will enjoy playing with anyway if you are the type who enjoys watching the cut-scenes.
I like going into Prae and watch cutscenes to piss people off like tc
