cmon dude, by your reasoning, if I as a pld Rage of Halone a mob before it turns an attacks another player im exploiting too... If the pet fully died, you would still have to resummon it an it would still be full hp, what does it matter if u do it stlightly before the pet dies? Hey you know what else, Sch's an Whm's start casting medica an succor before Titan starts doing stomps, so they are exploiting too? It's called being preprared not cheating.
Just to make things clear, it won't work if you resummon the same pet you were using. So Garuda -> Garuda will do nothing but Garuda -> Ifrit -> Garuda will reset her cooldowns. It's extremely mana and time inefficient and I don't see why a player would use it other than for the novelty of it.
This should clear any doubts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27sO79UXPqs
Looking at the video again, it might actually work with the same pet twice in a row. The player never did it so I assumed it wouldn't work but who knows.
I've tried, garuda -> contagion -> summon ifrit -> summon garuda, contagion still cd.
I've tried garuda -> contagion -> summon ifrit -> use ifrit spells -> summon garuda, contagion still cd.
I don't get what the video is trying to point out either.
EDIT: it works, it works if pet is on sic. instead of obey.
ADD: yeah, I'm thinking it's not worth it either, because of the double pet mechanic, maybe it would be worth it if it doesn't require pet switching, because you have to wait for the other pet to cast all it's cds before re-summoning garuda, -_- this can't even keep my bio up because of all the sic. waiting.
