Messed up thing is, in the concept art book from the collector's edition there is a Marauder in purple darksteel (edit... that is purple right? was so sure it was, but now I see it on a pc... idk...) *with the helmet off*. I want to look like that ffs!

Well simply because AF1 is the 1st version given by the WAR NPC, and AF2 is the 2nd version of the AF which you get with ToM, you did not upgrade your AF into a +1 like you phisycaly upgrade a normal relic into a +1 Relic, thats were is the difference..

In FFXI AF1 was the one of the job quest, AF2 was the one from Dynamis, AF1+1 was the quest AF augmented to +1, AF2 +1 was the Dynamis AF(2) augmented. Anyway... carry on >.>.

I wish they would outlaw the cannot equip head/foot gear! Can I have an item in each slot please? I like to do an item by item comparison and that makes it really hard when it's not a straight 1 to 1 comparison.

I could never bring myself to save up and wear the DL chest/head, I just hung onto the AK dress shirt until I got my AF2 chest.

Honestly in my opinion the Allagan gear doesn't look good either.

Tank allagan looks badass imo.

I personally like the DL armor. I actually feel protected. Always bugged me that the AF crown is intended to protect your skull.

The only thing I dislike is the running animation. It's too reminiscent of running through a field of flowers...

It's not AF2. Yoshi already told us that AF2 is coming later.

On topic: I hate the DL tank/DRG look. Allagan and Myth gear all the way.
