I'm glad we agree. Even after rereading, your previous post confuses me. However, I am enjoying trading in sleep for time with a newborn, so I am permitted to a lack of brain power. :)
The linkshell system in XI was fairly simple and straight foward, XIV's while a step up in terms of multiple shells is a huge step back in terms of basic functionality, all because they didn't want XIV to be like XI.
However as the rep said once the battle system is done they'll look into this, if they put focus on this over other stuff, people will complain. I just really don't get how despite getting an answer it's never good enough.
If you're at work and the boss said for certain people to focus on pushing out the new model are you going to say you should focus on the paint job rather than the base model? Or will that be something that can come after the important base model is completed?
Businesses have priorities for a reason and I highly doubt SE would instantly forget they mentioned they'll work on the linkshell system since it IS programming related as much as it is UI related and the programming team is busy with the #1 priority.
As much as I agree whining like a 2 year old isn't going to help. They gave you a reply. Deal with it. One thing I hated in ffxi was that LS kick thing. People abused it for the sake of being ***. I was in an LS once and said I didn't like football, and was kicked for starting drama. Another LS was talking about naughty Cosplay, when I added a funny anime story I got called weird and blisted by most ppl and kicked with in an hr after joining.
Honestly by the way you guys act, you might lable someone a trouble maker for a bad day.

No, really, I'd pay for them to show me their client and server architecture that makes adding an obviously trivial piece of code tremendously complicated.
One guy at SE should start writing a book about this game technical choices. He could get very rich.

I wish they would divert the team in charge of LS related stuff to bring this upto priority one. The reason why I stopped actively recruiting for my LS was because 95% of my ls from CE launch are inactive.
Maybe the repeated beating of this horse will raise an eyebrow at SE and show them we are serious.
