Maintenance started 43 minutes early :(

warning would be nice - imagine if you just handed 300k worth of items for someone else to craft? or d/c'd mid craft? i'd be pissed

No warning; no time to teleport to a sanctuary. How, rude.

Edited to add: Ah, I see there is a good reason (the crazyawful gil hack). But I stand by my frustration that my regular playtime is the usual maint-time.

That hurt... no chance to log out safely, no chance to get to an inn.

I'm so mad right now. I just want to scream DERP!

Stick to the time table I got off work at 2:00 AM EST today and was looking forward to the later 1:00 AM PST maintenance start time. Got to play for 30 minutes. So ridiculous seeing as its the second maintenance this week too.

But as much as I hate maintenance I love the game. I just hope they are Ko'ing more gil sellers and bots.

i actually d/c'd mid-craft. only lost maybe 90 gil worth of mats but imagine if it was something expensive like tome mats :\

I'm on the west coast. Maintenance has been starting between 9PM-11PM which is the time a lot of people on the west coast plays.

I thought they were going to push back the maintenance to 1am which would be better but they decided to take down the servers without warning around 12AM. No exp bonus for me since I couldn't get to a sanctuary

But wait, I thought they did maintenance for fun! You mean it actually is meant to fix stuff?
My whole world is different now!

Much like a tornado, there are occasionally emergencies that require sudden action. If they'd stuck to to the time table, you might not have had any gil by the end of the hour.

Managed to get to the Inn just in time, but where was the notice saying it was going to start early? Just glad I managed to finish my synths in time - sorry to hear those who got kicked mid synth and those in dungeons :(

Not happy... Actually, I sort of am... Was in a pretty bad DF. Everyone in the group seemed to think I had threat issues on the second boss of WP when it wandered off and started swinging everybody XD

In terms of the Maintenance starting early, I was perfectly happy with logging out at 1AM for the Maintenance, I wanted to quietly complete my DF and then go to bed. I was going to stick to Square-Enix's maintenance schedule, but then they had to go and start it 43 minutes early...

Like, wtf? If you're going to screw around with millions of players, at least make an announcement that you're going to start maintenance earlier than anticipated... Rather than just kicking them off of the server before the scheduled start time.
