Patch Notes should be put up earlier

Gives me something to look at while the game is down and stay somewhat entertained not bovered~!

Though this was an idea for the Dev team not a discussion. Guess I should put it where it belongs

I believe it was said before that they don't release the official patch notes because there are certain people out there that would take advantages of the game if they knew what was coming.

One example would be people trying to take advantage of the market, buying up all of a particular component that is currently cheap pre-patch, then marking them up outrageously post-patch because of a new recipe being introduced.

In addition to that, sometime things don't always go as planned. In software industry, something get cut last minute due to what issue or possibly the whole patch being rolled back due to instability.

Patch notes can't be put up earlier, what happens if they put up patch notes and at the last minute find a server breaking bug and have to back out some change in the patch notes? You people would freak out because you didn't get what was promised.

SE has always put the XIV patch notes up 30 minutes to an hour after the servers go down. Why do you nerds always complain about the dumbest ****.

Hmm. I agree with OP. It's nice to be surprised, but it really makes no difference if I learn the information at least a few hours earlier as I can't get to the content till after the patch is actually done. It would be nice to know what we're getting ahead of time.

No one is complaining *** it was just a idea. I like to read the patch notes prior to the release because I may have to go to work or go somewhere I don't have access to them, I was simply asking put them up the same day they go up maybe at beginning of the day. I guess people wouldn't like that idea because it would be similar to what WoW does.

Servers go down at 2PM PDT. Patch & Patch Notes are posted between 2:30-3:00PM PDT. Servers don't go back up until 5PM PDT. Now I may have my quantum physics calculations wrong but I do believe you STILL GET THE PATCH NOTES PRIOR TO RELEASE.

This is why people refuse to take this game or it's players seriously. I have frowned on all of you. Now go back to the "Jump" threads.

If you really get that bored during maintenance, you can go play WoW.
