Are two SMN's in a light party too low dps?

I subbed in for a BLM in Turn 4 last night. (who outgears me)

Had the same situation at the end of Turn 2/5/6. Soldiers dying a lot faster. Plus, since Bane is the only thing that invokes the damage return (~900) when using it to spread DoTs to Knights, you can do double the DPS as a BLM on those Soldier/Knight groups.

Did your party succeed? Also what is your fester damage without critical?

Yeah, finished Turn 4 on the 3rd attempt I think. Fester damage is ~800 for me, right now.

Interesting, my fester is around 800 when I use it with raging strike and about 750 without raging strike. Critical is around 1300 with raging strike.

Is there some reason why (I am new to SMN so sorry) you can not just pick a target on the left side of the pack, stack you dots and bane.

Pick a target on the right side of the pack, stack your dots and bane. Pretty much dotting almost all targets even in a pack of 8?

The only time SMN have real issues is with large Fates. The 30 DOT limit is a killer.

I don't even bother with odin and behemoth because of that, and I can't see them.

From my experience, you don't even have to bother. If there are 8 mobs, I pick one, DoT it up, Bane.. tab cycle to find the first un-Dot'd target, DoT it up, Bane, everything has DoTs.

Monk is definitely the most complicated. I didn't even get to endgame with it yet, either. Then Summoner > Dragoon > Bard > Black Mage.
